Christina’s work on the Mental Health Act was published by TheJournal.ie in a series of articles over three days in July 2013. The first article examined proposed changes to the 2001 Mental Health Act and included an interview with Minister of State for Disability, Equality, Mental Health and Older People, Kathleen Lynch. The project also investigated holding voluntary patients without review and the reduction in admission assistants who help families by playing a central role in the application and admission of a person with a mental disorder to a hospital.
